Undanfarna daga hef ég dundað mér við að fletta ofan af þessum svikahrappi. Bréf hans til virtrar þýðingarstofu í Belgíu barst hingað á kontórinn og við fylltumst forvitni. Hugsanlega hafa íslenskir þýðendur fengið ámóta bréf. Skoðið og lesið:
I am a Native and certified Icelandic Translator and proofreader. I am fully competent in English and have excellent command of German and Icelandic, so that I interpret fluently among these three languages, though I would not want to publish written German or Icelandic without having a colleague proofread it. Lingua, my translation and proofreading service, had been growing as a sideline until I took it as my main profession, along with tourism. Several qualified translators help me with Icelandic, while others work with me in English or on a number of other languages, treating a wide variety of subjects. Also, I have years of experience in tourism. Along with teaching, guiding has given me experience in speaking to or leading groups and organising or conducting meetings; in addition, I am sometimes asked to write the minutes of meetings in Icelandic.
I have 20+ years experience in Language Translation, Proofreading and localization services. My translation fields are : Tourism, Legal, Medical, Finance, Business, IT, Marketing, Technical, Pharma, Education, automotive, Tax and Engineering, Technical, User Manuals, Electronic Devices etc. etc.
I have worked with many well known companies on various Govt. and non-govt projects. My daily capacity is 3000 to 4000 words. I charge EUR 0.12 per word for translation and EUR 0.05 for proofreading.
Looking for some new business opportunities in new year 2009. If you require any translation service for Icelandic (English to Icelandic or Icelandic to English), please do contact me. My detailed profile is attached with this email.
